Luz e Som moves into Angola with large-scale projects.

Luz e Som is now a regular presence in Angola, with the award of major works, both at the enterprise level or at the level of private houses.

Acting across the country - Luanda, Luena, Lobito and Ndalatango, among others - Luz e Som implements solutions ready-to-use, hoping to meet the high demands of the Angolan customer.

From clubs, cinemas and private homes with features top of the range, there are several works that will be entering the implementation phase at the site. Soon we will bring more news.

 Angola Dream House with Luz e Som

It was from 15 to 18 October that the House of Dream of Angola has taken shape, an initiative promoted by the Fair AIMMP Build in Luanda. The event brought together within the Luanda International Fair (FILDA) potential entrepreneurs in the construction business in the country, now totaling about 250 companies, of which 90 Portuguese.

"Building the dreams of Angolans" is the theme chosen, and for this reason that the Association of the Wood and Furniture Portugal (AIMMP) will ride in an area of 800 square meters, the "dream house Angola, with Associative Design Partnership, Modular System and Luz e Som.

 Luz e Som keeps expansion plan

As reported in the Diário Económico, Luz e Som continues its plan to expand inter-continental. The administrator Carlos Góis stated that the company's entry in the Angolan market depends only on finding the right partner: "Oncewe have a partner we go to Angola."

After a short introduction to the beginnings of Luz e Som, he told that "we don't just sell a product, we sell a service through the counseling and advice to the client, in essence it is to choose the best solution for each specific situation. "

About the type of customer seeking the Luz e Som, he explains that "we have both the particular client and the corporate client, or large companies who seek our services. We work a lot with the high class segment that builds the house from scratch and wants it fully equipped, to a companie who need a sound system or video conferencing, as well as banks. Moreover, even in the financial system we were pioneers in corporate tv."

It is also referred to the close collaboration with architects of reputation with Alvaro Siza, Souto Moura and Alcino Soutinho, and businesses and decoration projects, as Bastidor and Paulo Lobo.

By way of summary, it is stated that "the company bill currently 5 million, employs 44 people and has his signature on works as diverse as the restaurant Buhl, the Serralves Museum of the House of Music or the Sheraton Hotel in Porto .

 IAPMEI honors Luz e Som with PME Lider award

IAPMEI in partnership with five Portuguese financial institutions (Caixa Geral de Depósitos, Banco Espirito Santo, Banco BPI, the Millennium BCP and Santander Totta), the Tourism of Portugal and with a range of institutions providing services to the small and medium business segment gave the status of SME Leader at Luz e Som.

This award aims to reward the merits of selected companies and assemble a package of solutions as they involve a more easy access to credit, better terms of financing and acquisition of goods or services, further simplifying the relationship with the banking and public administration and a certificate of quality to enhance their relationship with the market.

This distinction was created under the program Fincresce with the aim of highlighting the best performances and opening business avenues for the consolidation of regional growth strategies and leadership of these companies.

 "Cliente Aplauso" Millenium BCP

Luz e Som was choosed by Millenium BCP bank, as Cliente Aplauso 2008 (Aplause Client). This prestigious distinction is awarded only to companies that work best with the Millennium BCP ans show an innovative vision of business.

This prize is awarded in conjunction with the Management School of Porto. The Aplause Cliente is certificate by the it's financial strenght, economic performance, innovation and involvement with the Millennium BCP.

Uniscala Contest '09

Luz e Som is a partner of the Uniscala Competition 09. The initiative aims to raise awareness among architects to the side of the choice of AV equipment and the combination of this with the structural aspects of buildings.

It also rewards the creativity of architects and their sensitivity to the various uses of the same equipment in a process of refurbishment of the premises of the company.

The contest is organized in partnership with Uniscala and Architects Guild (Northern Regional Section).

 Luz e Som with new web site

With a ten years presence on the web, Luz e Som now makes available a new version of its web site. After six years in a row of it's second version on-line - an innovating site at the time, sometimes even copied, and with a considerable size (we're talking about over 2.500 files, HTML and images) - it arrived the time to update both the design and the functionalities of the site: white background and easier browsing were sometimes asked by users. English language is also a must have, so we can reach not only outside Portugal, but also our many foreign costumers inside Portugal.

As we have lots of information related to the thousands of products of the several brands imported and represented by Luz e Som , we chose to send the users to the official web sites of the brands, although not forgetting to bring forward the most recent innovations and the most interesting news of the area. The new web site was entirely designed and builded by the marketing department of Luz e Som it self, with the cooperation of colleagues of several different departments.

 New Lisbon Store

Luz e Som opended it's new Lisbon Store. The store is fully dedicated to the top brands of major importance, related to sound and lighting. It's a large and cosy place, where the silence teases the awakening of your senses to a audiovisual journey, and a place where the shelves are complemented by several different and beautiful rooms, with environments perfectly decorated that complete the equipments: there is a sleeping room, a dining room, a living room, a cinema room and also a meeting room. all with good taste and distinction.

Placed on Avenida 24 de Julho 92C, the store is integrated on the Santos Design District program. This matches perfectly the concept that Luz e Som wants to deliver, mixing it's core business with others that share the same target; like gourmet gastronomy, top watches or luxury cars. during the inauguration, several rooms decorated by specialists (like Paulo Lobo, José Pedro Vieira from Bastidor, Artefacto, Uniscala, Paris 7 and Oficinas Gerais), and and art exhibition, the result of the partnership with Fernando Santos Gallery.
