Associative Design andLuz e Som are sent around the world, with several Portuguese brands that have reshaped and decorated spaces of the school ship Sagres: a remarkable action of political diplomacy, economic and cultural, the Associative Design (brand of AIMMP --
Associação das Indústrias de Madeira e Mobiliário de Portugal) associated with the Portuguese Navy in the third round the world of the training ship Sagres in order to contribute to the spread of the portuguese brands in the world. So, there opens prospects for a new niche market for professionals in the Portuguese design and development of products for the interiors of ships.

It's was on 19 January at 11.00, that the training ship Sagres departs of Cais da Alcântara in Lisbon for his third trip around the world as part of celebrations alluding to the Portuguese presence in Asia - the 500th anniversary of Afonso de Albuquerque in the East, the 150th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship between Japan and Portugal, and the 200 years of combined national several South American countries.

This time, the journey has even greater meaning and style, with Portuguese signature .The training ship Sagres, wich only returned to Portugal on 23 December this year, had the interior refurbished and decorated with products from different AIMMP member companies.

The history of the school-ship, identity, soul and size were key elements for the Menina Design that, took charge of the project led by Ricardo Magalhães and Alcina Monteiro, responsible for the interior of the ship parts all the brands involved.

Thus, new spaces come to life, color and expression, resulting in high decoration: Camarinha and the Office of the Commander, the Officer's cabin mate on the cabin of the Senior, the Board of Officers, the Living Room of the House of Cadets Welfare Squares are sites of excellence for the integration of products of Portuguese brands, which will then be certified and exhibited at international fairs reference.
